The scenic beauty is definitely 5/5, but other than that, I’m not quite sure how this received a #1 ranking, The owners were exceptionally kind and welcoming, but a lot of the holes felt repetitive with just a few standouts. Mostly straight par 3 shots from the tee pad across the rocks. The drive to get to the place is described as “extremely challenging and not for the faint of heart” according to Google, which would have been nice to know as we were in a rented minivan. Once getting off the main road, it takes over an hour driving very slowly and. carefully before you arrive at Base Camp. A lot of the tee pads are in rough condition or simply marked with some ground markers. We did have fun overall, but be sure to have a lifted vehicle to get in and out to make the visit a little less stressful. This one is automatically in our top 10 just for the scenery alone, but it wasn’t as technical or exciting as we were hoping.
