About the course

This is a new course created by BYU-Idaho. Located up around the upper sports fields on campus. Most of the holes are very open with at least half the holes at 400 or more feet from tee to basket. Considerable amount of out of bounds as it plays around the fields and next to a campus owned apartment complex. Out of bounds rules below. #1 Sidewalk is ob and dirt path is ob #2 Dirt road on left & rocks and grass on right is ob #3 Bark area on right & rock river is ob #4 Bark area on right & road and beyond is ob #5 University Village Parking lot is ob #6 Bark on left & outside the rocks on right is ob # 8 Parking lot & 7th south is ob

If it had tee areas and had more holes it would be more fun

This one is kinda rough. The holes are fun! My only gripe is the lack of tee-pads. There are none at all. The tee areas themselves have good placement and are marked by signs, but the quality of them is a little sad. I would love to see BYUI invest money into those and it would make the course an easy 4.5- 5 stars. Or at least re-grade the areas so they are flat and easier to play from.

There's a lot of wind on this course. It's not an easy one for beginners like myself. Has lots of long bomb shots that can be skewed by the wind. Pretty well-maintained, though it could use with some nice tee pads. I didn't have a problem finding the tee markers though which was good. Liked that. Update: course is a great little course. Fairly easy after 1.5 yrs of practice.
