Updated: I’ve been playing Codorus for decades, and I’ll be honest—I hadn’t been back on Blue since before the purple course. I remember the X and Cross Country “bonus holes”. Coming back now, the layout feels refreshed in the best way. I don’t even remember when the redesign happened, but it’s legit: it’s more interesting, more intentional, and still very much “Codorus Blue” (aka: hit your lines or suffer). The course turns into technical woods golf pretty quickly, and it can be intimidating if your release angles are even a little off. Be ready for: • bogeys • some frustrating birdie looks • and a few “I threw that good… why am I scrambling?” moments The rough out here can be absolutely brutal. This is not a “miss by 10 feet and still have a look” course. You miss the fairway and you’re pitching out, looking for plastic, and trying not to donate strokes to the course. If you’re throwing clean, it’s an awesome stretch of golf. Disc down. Seriously. This is one of those courses where playing smart is the difference between “great round” and “why am I mad right now?” Honestly, from the short tees, this would be a perfect putter/midrange-only round. If you can hit clean lines and stay in the fairway, you’ll probably end up killing it here.
