This course was beautiful and a lot of fun. With all the land available, I really wish they had made a few par 4s. It’s a park-style course adjacent to some woods, and it looks like some of the holes could easily push into that area. One small thing that should be fixed is the distances in UDisc. The tee signs appear to be accurate, but the listed distances in the app are wrong. Being off by 10 feet isn’t a big deal, but some holes are off by quite a bit, closer to 30-40+ feet. The local crew or course ambassador should clean that up. My biggest critique, however, is the short tee pads. They are all 4x8, which isn’t enough unless it’s a pitch-and-putt, and this course is not that. There are a lot of longer, beautifully shaped par 3s, so if I’m throwing 400 feet, I need a run-up longer than eight feet. This isn’t the end of the world, I get it, but relying on a run-up from behind the tee pads isn’t always an option here, since there’s often a bit of a drop-off behind them. Having a run-up that is uphill before then taking a step up to the tee pad is actually dangerous for some and annoying for others. All that said, I will be back.

Pretty basic, but decent course. Standard park course with slightly better views. Could use some indicators at the baskets pointing to the next pad.

@jonnyt123
Fun course, not quite as fun as Pettibone though. Really loved how quiet and peaceful it was. Easy to find your discs in the rough too!

@snidecashew
Great little course. Mostly flat with some rolling hills to make some different design. Good for beginners and more seasoned players
@gmpablaze
Really fun course. A little on the long side for my noodle arm, but fun!

@cometz2000
Nice course, very open and beginner friendly.

@billthecrusher
Very beautiful island. No real water holes like u may think just 17 360 and in golf shots with OB/trees and 660 hole 18 with a hazard 100+ b4 the circle. Awesome! I saw so many animals and cool water all around you

@threedit
Nice and clean, pretty wide open for the most part. A few trees to contend with. It seems a lot of shots have you throwing over or near bbq grills and picnic tables, so maybe not a good course when it’s busy out here. Fun course though.

@gopherman77
Lots of open shots

Missing basket

@nickdegroote
Fun course that is mostly open but has enough hills and trees to keep it interesting. Decently long holes too, lots of low 300s
@jmpopilek
Nice, scenic, open course in a park-like setting. Concrete tees are a nice upgrade, could use some nice signage though.

@widgtraveler
First, it is great to have another 18-hole course in the La Crosse area. Goose island, however, is a steady diet of wide open 350’ shot after wide open 350’ shot. If you cannot throw 350+ feet on a consistent basis this course might become pretty monotonous. Even on my best drives I am consistently left with an 80’ putt or 100’ throw in for any chance of a bird. Although I’m not typically a fan of so many open-ish shots, I was impressed by how well designed some of the holes at Goose island are, especially some of the latter ones. Although the concrete tee pads are a bonus, they are sort of short and I find myself throwing from the side of them more often than I care to. Glad it’s here! Just wish there were more wooded holes.

@ethanpov
Solid course. Needs some work for new tee pads and signage. Also needs a few paths and lines opened up a little bit

@subatron
Still some slick spots from the flooding but playable. Still some trees down in some fairways and near baskets. Mosquitos!!! Bring deet.
@kstar135
Mostly open with some trees and elevation leading to some fun and interesting lines. Nice concrete (if a bit short) teepads and great tee signs.

@maxwelliver
Awesome course! Placed in an open park setting with wooded shots as well. Can't wait to see pads and signs installed. Great job on the design 7 rivers!!

@zap005
I wish it would utilize more par 4s and par 5s, also a few more holes in the woods would be nice. Over all nice course just thought it could be designed a little better.
@andrewericson
Very nice location and well maintained, however a bit vanilla. It could stand to benefit from a some more par 4s, I could see combining hole 6 and 7 into one being quite nice. Lots of potential!
