About the course

mostly open and one of the most played courses in Bowling Green area.

History

1997: Course went in with the development of the soccer complex. 9-hole DGA Mach 2 baskets with 2-tees on each hole. HB bought the baskets from Darrell Lynn PDGA #784 in Memphis. New, but his health keeps him from putting a course on his personal land. Designed by HB Clark PDGA #553, who also did a lot of the clearing and installation. 2001: When the park did not install tennis, volleyball and picknick areas, the course was expanded to 18 holes. Innova Pro targets were installed. Design headed by HB Clark, with much help from Larry Bledsole PDGA #12201 and a few club members.

All the holes are either boring or janky. Baskets need to be moved to improve lines.

It was… fine. It’s very well kept. I may have rated it higher if I hadn’t just played Kereiakes, which was much better in just about every way. Red baskets were hard to spot from the tee - colorblind folk be wary. 18’s basket is quite a ways away from hole 1’s tee box and there’s a lot of holes that just zigzag, so the layout leaves something to be desired.
