About the course

The Okoboji Gold Disc Golf Course is located in Kenue Park, in the heart of the Iowa Great Lakes region. This is an 18-hole, championship level course with both gold and white tees. The course winds in a prairie and oak savanna with a glacially formed kame rising 30 feet and extending 300 feet long.

They weren’t kidding about the elevation change! Holes 7 8 and 9 are extreme. In a great way! One of my favorite courses. It has a little bit of everything, including the most important element of elevation change, which most courses don’t have (not by choice). This course not only has incredible elevation change, but it also makes fantastic use of it. No gimmicks, just pure fun and challenging but fair holes. Amazing course! Half a star off for some of the non-existent tee pads.
