About the course

Located 110 km south of Tel-Aviv in the north-west Negev, Eshkol National Park is home to the first permanent disc golf course in the Middle East. A mix of wide open fairways, short ace runs, and technical holes littered with obstacles. The park is shared with picnickers, backpackers, cyclists, birdwatchers, campers, and other outdoor enthusiasts, not to mention many species of plants and animals. Please respect their right to enjoy this beautiful space and respect the park itself. Use sturdy hiking shoes because there are some long and sharp thorns. Also don clothing to protect yourself from the thorns, sun and in the summer ticks. For those staying at the campgrounds overnight there is a practice basket. You can rent a mattress and a tent. Bring your sleeping bag and food. There is a kiosk but it isn't open on weekdays. Parking Lot: (34.489868164051,31.308602288111) The course is accesible by public transportation. Bus # 35 runs several times a day from Beersheba and has a stop on main road opposite the park. The tee posts have the correct hole # but the baskets have wrong numbers on them [there are correct small numbers on the poles]. The rest of the details on the tee posts are generally wrong. Being fixed.

In winter time its a 4, in summer its a 2. the main variable is the heat , it can reach 110 degrees in summer, and in winter its only 70. Second variable is that in summer theres tall grass and thorns on lots of the holes, so its easy to lose your disc, and theres no upkeep on this course at all, also theres a lot of ticks around , be aware! (Only in summer tough) That said, the course design is very nice and makes for a tough course with good variety, far shots, and elavation. the course is mostly open with couple of wooded holes. Overall its worth visiting in my opinion. especially in winter. If you want a guide to show you around, ill be happy to help! And if you want to play in the center area , we play in Tel Aviv area every week. (With portable baskets), give me a call: Yehuda: +972 584317105
