About the course

Be ready to walk through the woods. Course starts just behind the Newport HS and winds through the Town Forest. Be prepared for lots of up and down, as you will climb the hillside and have to cross a couple of small creeks, streams, and ravines. Recently updated with new rubber tee pads, new hole signs. Look for little red arrows pointing the way to the next tee.

Awesome layout and design with fair par #s. The glossy buckthorn on some fairways needs to be trimmed down to make it a bit more playable. Some perfectly good shots are punished in the shrubbery

Really fun course with good par 3s and 4s. Only detractor for me was the tee pads. It had just rained and all but 3 of them were soaked and slick. On a dry day, I imagine they are fantastic, just didn't get that. Still a great course
