This course is a prime example of how not to design one .

Can anyone honestly explain what the designer was thinking with the course? This 18 hole park style course zigzags across and back over itself, as it works its way through the park system. The Design forces you to throw over fairways, tee boxes, ball fields and pavilions, often with the target basket blind, less than 15 feet away from people on the next tee pad. The signage is adequate and the pads are rubber mats staked to the ground. Though this course was a welcome stop to stretch and play as I worked my way across I70, it is certainly not a stop I will endeavor to make again. Thanks City of Russel for the opportunity to play.
