This course has a ton of potential. The recent updates to the front 9 are incredible. But that’s really where my praise stops. Zero signage and no one is in any kind of hurry to get any. It’s been going on 3 years. They removed all the signage during the update with no apparent plans to replace. This is an ongoing gripe. Fine for locals that play often, abysmal for new players or visitors. ESPECIALLY since half the holes have hidden targets. The group in charge randomly moves baskets. I’m not sure if they regularly update UDisc. It used to not be, but to their credit, the map is current as of November 3. You shouldn’t HAVE to use UDisc to find your way. Some of us play disc golf to be outdoors AWAY from our phones. The local group will shift blame to the city parks dept, but I feel like there is plenty more that can be done that isn’t. When you know where all the baskets are, it’s a good fun course. Decently challenging for new, and intermediate players. The shot variety is lacking from my pov, as it really favors RHFH or LHBH throwers. Credit where credit is due, I really am happy with the changes in the front 9. Really elevating the feel of the area. Something’s got to be done about the homeless population though. Back nine and the fives can be sketchy at best. Until that problem is remedied, there is not going to be any sort of bathrooms either. Which is a shame. There really is potential here for a great city park but between slow government, a severe homeless problem, and conflicting egos, I fear this will always just be a ho-hum course. It’s worth playing if you’re in the area but dint get your hopes up.
