Located along the scenic riverfront near Grand Junction’s Botanical Gardens, Watson Island offers a fun, free-to-play disc golf experience for players of all skill levels, designed by Grand Valley Disc Golf Club in collaboration with the Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department. This well-loved 24-hole course features a mostly flat layout with a mix of open throws and technical shots, a variety of distances, and multiple water hazards that keep each round interesting. The concrete and brick tee pads and Mach VII targets provide quality infrastructure, while cart- and stroller-friendly paths make it accessible for casual rounds with friends and family. With wide public appeal and consistently strong community ratings, Watson Island is a popular local favorite that’s great for both quick rounds and extended play.

Course is under construction but still playable. Be aware no tee signs. Thank you to the City of Grand Junction and Parks department for their work and money going into revamping the course!
